HOW NEPHURE™ IS CHANGING THE LOW OXALATE DIET

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (June 05, 2017) – Entring is launching its innovative and novel product – Nephure™ Oxalate-Reducing Enzyme – in the third quarter of this year.  The company will have a demo of the product at Booth V222 during the Institute of Food Technologists Tradeshow June 26-June 28, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV. Nephure is pioneering this low-oxalate movement offering more choices for those with nutritional limits.

Oxalate is a natural substance that occurs widely in foods such as greens, beans, nuts, and grains; however, there are no known benefits to having oxalates in the body. Moreover, a growing number of people are recommended to reduce their oxalate intake (a so called low-oxalate diet) as part of their kidney health program. Too much oxalate in the body can lead to the formation of calcium-oxalate crystals through an imbalance in the calcium-oxalate ratio. Nephure combats this by breaking down the oxalate into carbon dioxide and formate; thus, keeping the oxalate from binding with calcium and other minerals. The Nephure Oxalate-Reducing Enzyme will be sold to innovative food and beverage manufacturers to remove oxalate in foods during processing. It will also be sold direct to consumer as a powder that can be taken on-the-go.

“We strive to bring freedom and opportunities to those with diet limitations due to sensitivity,” said Helena Cowley, CEO and Co-Founder of Entring, LLC. “We look forward to working with food and beverage manufacturers to expand the options for this growing number of consumers,” she continued.

Nephure not only revolutionizes the low oxalate movement by offering a whole new dietary strategy but also addresses a new category of specialty foods. By offering their ingredient, Entring hopes to see food manufacturers create low oxalate foods to better serve those concerned with their kidney health.
