Student product developers from six universities will vie for top honors in the final rounds of the prestigious annual IFTSA & Mars Product Development Competition at IFT18.

On Sunday afternoon, Phi Tau Sigma and IFT paid tribute and awarded student finalists of the division poster competition. 
Jozef Kokini is currently the Scholle Endowed Chair in Food Processing in the Dept. of Food Science at Purdue University. Kokini was honored as the recipient of the 2017 Nicolas Appert Award on Sunday, June 25, at the Awards Celebration.
The winning entries offer solutions to today’s food issues and trends of clean label, sodium reduction, and simple and rapid analysis for enhanced quality control.
Video competition finalists highlight research related to challenges in the wine industry and aquaculture.  
Products from finalist teams address themes of health, convenience, and indulgence.
